Jack Curley seems to be the typical young man growing up in Stalybridge, Manchester. He is kind. He appears normal, he’s doing things Manchester kids do. Getting tattoos, working late nights in a bar, busking, doing the 3 month in Ibiza thing. What remains hidden behind the silence of his teenage streets is now at the age of 20 slowly breaking out: Jack worked on his voice, his songs, his story. The goal: To make all of this as big as his adolescent dreams. In his very first song ever to be released Jack sings about his broken relationship to Alice. The girl next door every man would fall for. It might sound like a cliché but the honesty in his writing, style and sense of melodies don’t need many bars to say all thethings words never could. For Alice Jack chose the most simple arrangement possible. It is just him and a soft, warm, yet very deep piano. As the purest form of a musical introduction it felt so right not to hide under a big production but to bring it all down to the magic of Jacks magnetic vocal chords. Currently he is in the studio crafting the next steps on his journey that so far everyone who listened to Alice is at least curious to follow.
